With the huge popularity of the MTV show “Jersey Shore” you knew it was only a matter of time until a porn parody came out. I must say that the quality of the video is extremely good. All your favorite Jersey Shore characters get it on in one way or another. What you wish they showed on MTV they show here, in parody mode of course. I don’t know if the best part of the movie is when Snookie gets punched (I don’t condone violence) or that the entire Jersey Shore blows up at the end! Either way there are a lot of laughs in the parody and a whole lotta fuckin.
Today Facebook is launching it’s new site design to its over 80million + users. Facebook turns six today and what a better way to turn six than to redisgn the user homepage and confuse everyone! If you’re like me you probably just figured out how to navigate through the last change that wasn’t made too long ago. The biggest changes include expanded search capability and easier messaging. Facebook will list all the changes in a blog post later today.
The search piece is quite interesting to me since I’m currently reading a book about “Search”. Even though I just started reading the book I’ve come to the quick realization that it’s all about search. Everything on the web is centered around search. The more people “search” the more sites can predict what people are searching for, help you find the info easier and ultimately sell you on whatever topic, service, product, etc you’re looking for. OK, I’ll get off my soapbox now.
On another note, regardless of the changes Facebook still doesn’t like sexually explicit content, boooooo!
For people that think Social Media is a fad they’re living in the past. Here’s an awesome video demonstrating how powerful social networks have become. The video is a commercial for a book called Socialnomics but it’s too cool of a video not to watch.
Avatars have been wildly popular over the past 5 years. Avatars started gaining popularity on forum sites and really took off when blogs came onto the scene. Traditionally though avatars have been 2D pictures of ourselves or 2D drawings. Not anymore, now there is a site that will turn your 2D avatar into a 3D avatar. What was once only possible if you were willing to pay big bucks to a design studio has now become free. Avatara is a website that allows you to create a 3D image of yourself in only a few small steps. They also allow you to automatically share your avatar across all your social networking sites. I gave Avatara a test run and here are the results.
