Add auctions to your blog – WP Auctions
Many of you either use auction sites to buy products or you sell them yourself. There are already a number of large well established auction sites out there to choose from. The biggest problem with them is the damn fees. Fees can quickly cut into profits. There is a solution! If you want to take the job on yourself on maintaining your own “mini” auction house there is a new WordPress plugin that will allow you to do so.
WP Auctions is a free plugin which will allow you to create and maintain your own auctions. In addition to the free version there are upgraded versions which carry on a one time cost. The plugin is easy to setup and use. The plugin provides all the features you would expect to see at a big auction site such as photos, description, payment options and shipping info. The plugin even automatically generates emails to the bidders and winner.
The auction(s) will be placed on the sidebar of your blog. The plugin doesn’t actually turn your blog into an auction site. If you have an item to sell from time to time or you have a few auctions up at a time you may want to consider this plugin. The only disadvantage of running your own auctions is that you will lose out on having the visibility that you would have on existing auction sites.
