Formspring and WordPress Unite
As you’ve probably seen in my tweets the past couple months I’m not high on Formspring. It’s not really because I don’t like the concept (even though I think at some point the good questions do run out), it’s because of their shitty Twitter integration. Have you ever noticed that the Formspring tweets look like a jumbled mess! They should keep it simple and show the question that was asked with a link to the answer, keep it simple and eye pleasing. Well, I’m not hear to talk about the Twitter integration, I’m here to talk about the WordPress integration.
Formspring CEO and Co-founder Ade Olonoh announced last week that Formspring will integrate with WordPress in the near future. It was only a statement unfortunately and there wasn’t any detail about what that meant. Does it mean their will be a widget on the sidebar to display Q&A or does it mean tight integration within blog posts? If Formspring were smart they would choose the latter since anyone could develop a widget to display Q&A. Tight integration might mean that users could actually display the question and respond with a blog entry. Now that would be cool! Once the official integration details are released I’ll let you know. Hopefully when they are done with this piece they can go back and work on the Twitter integration!!!!!
