Formspring – Fun or Not?

I am sure that you’ve all seen Formspring before – it seems that every one involved in any way with the internet has an account.  And of course anyone that is a fan of someone with a web presence also has an account.

When I first became aware of Formspring, I thought it was an awesome concept!  I love getting to know my fans and members so this was just one other avenue for them to get their questions answered by me!  I also loved that it would automatically post to Twitter, which would encourage other fans and members to ask even more questions.

Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, it has turned into a ridiculous game.  Questions are asked to multitudes of people at the same time so it has lost the personal touch.  I don’t really think that EVERY webmodel on MPP needs to be asked at what age she lost her virginity, or whatever the silly question seems to be!  IF a fan wants to know what age I lost my virginity, then I would happily answer that, but when it becomes a “game” of sorts, well, I lose interest.

Another of my personal pet peeves are some of the people that continually answer the same questions over and over again.  I understand that person doesn’t want to appear rude by ignoring, but I don’t think it needs to be posted on Twitter EVERY single time.  Especially, when just a day ago, the same question was answered.  Formspring can and sometimes should, actually stay within itself.

Again, that’s only my opinion – and I really do enjoy answering the legitimate questions, so if anyone has one – ASK AWAY!
