Organize Your Life With Evernote
Do you have millions of little pieces of paper laying around your office or home with notes on them, have you ever taken a picture on your cell phone and wanted an easy way to share it and have you ever found a section of a website that you wanted to remember or share with others? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions let me introduce you to Evernote. Evernote is a full content organizer and aggregator on the web. These days there are so many different tools to collect and store data/information and Evernote attempts to bring it all together in one simple to use web based application called a “notebook”. Evernote is a free to use and you have the ability to upgrade for a small fee for more room and additional functionality.
Evernote steps it up a notch by allowing you to use Evernote on your smartphone. Evernote has applications for both iPhone and Andorid users. The app allows you to create text notes, snap photos, and record audio. In addition, you can easily attached files to your notes. Free subscribers can add PDFs, text, audio, or image files.
Evernote gives you the ability to share your notebook with others. If you have friends that you want to share notes, photos, audio, etc with Evernote gives you the ability to share.
If you need an easy and fun way of organizing your life give Evernote a try. I have only signed-up for a free account and haven’t used it much, but I plan on putting some time in learning the tool and hope to use it to organize myself in 2010.
Here are a few ways that Evernote can be used to organize your life:
“Snap a photo of a business card with your phone, and have an easy way to store and access contacts.”
“Get inspired. Keep a file of anything cool you want to buy for yourself or as a gift, whether it’s online or out in the real world.”
“Research web sites and clip pages directly from your browser.”
“Remember the things you were supposed to remember. Create to-do lists, jot down random thoughts, leave a voice memo, and more.”
