Social Media…a Blessing and a Curse
I have a love/hate relationship with the social media craze. I make my living both doing adult modeling and building websites. I often spend 12-14 hours per day working online. One of the facts of life these days is that Social Media is a great way of getting the word out to a large number of people at once. It is a wonderful way to advertise and get noticed! It is also a great way to get distracted (both good and bad), and can be a huge time waster!
Whenever I log into one of my many profiles, whether it be Twitter, My Porn Profile, Xpeeps or one of several others, I find myself going back and reading messages from several of my friends. I answer these and get sidetracked reading other messages that have been posted, and before I know it several hours have gone by. No…I’m not talking about the ones that mention the next date, what you’re having for dinner or try to sell products online. I’m talking about neat notes of interest and quotes on Twitter, interesting news articles, great posts on Facebook and My Space, and of course looking at lots of great pictures and videos on sites like My Porn Profile. You see, I’m not just a porn slut, but also a fan! I enjoy looking at gorgeous tittys, six pack abs, short skirts with ass cheeks peeking out, just like the rest of you. I enjoy reading erotic stories, and talking with my fans about traveling to far away places to meet “up close and personal”.
I love it so much in fact, that I don’t log in to these sites nearly as much as I should, because I know I would never get any work done! Without social networking I would not have met many of you wonderful men and women, and it would be far more difficult for you to find me on the Internet. I can post a blog such as this one, and know that it will potentially be read by thousands of people, rather than just sitting out there alone in cyberspace. I can post naughty pictures of myself, and invariably get lots of wonderful comments from fans such as you…What a rush! I does wonders for my slutty ego:) And best of all, I know that some of you will want to get to know me better, either online, in person or both!
So, I guess the bottom line here is that I am going to have to make it a point to put aside a couple hours a day, and allow myself to unwind from the grind of working and become more active in the Social Networking arena. I will be spending much more time around here than I have been lately…”All work and no play” has gotten me nowhere lately.
