Socialmarker makes syndicating blog posts easier

This post is for all you blog owners out there……

It seems that every week a new website pops up for organizing and showing blog posts from multiple sources. Whether its Digg, Technorati, Fark or others (the list goes on and on) it’s tough to keep up. It’s very important to use all these services to get your blog posts syndicated across the web and to different users, but how to keep up with all the services is the real question. Socialmarker.com attempts to do this all in a neat little package.

Socialmarker lists all the social bookmarking sites out there, popular and not so popular, that you could possible post to. On the homepage you start off by entering all the info about the blog post you want to syndicate; title, URL, description, tags, etc. Socialmarker then takes you to each social bookmarking  site’s blog post submission page and pre-populate the fields with the info you entered on the homepage. A lot of the sites ask you to register before you submit your post information. This is where it gets a little hairy. When signing-up for these sites it sometimes will kick you out of the socialmarker system. You then have to go back in and hit the submit button again. This can get a little annoying after doing it many times. If I could give one word of advice to socialmarker it would be that they save your login info for all the social bookmarking sites so all you have to do is hit the submit button once and a robot in the background would automatically sign-in and populate all the fields and submit the post to each of the sites.

Even though socialmarker has some downfalls it’s still worth taking the time to use. It sure as hell beats having to go to each sites page one by one and having to remember the sites and their URL’s. I’m hoping the sites improves over time and they automate the entire process. From only using the site a few days I definitely saw an increase in links to the blog post I submitted.

I would suggest before you jump into using the service you watch the videos they have that explain the site in more detail along with how to use the site.
